Read before your next round of Yukon Solitaire

Take a moment with Yukon Solitaire before moving to another game. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Use the opening round to become familiar with the layout. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.

One deck, no stock, Yukon deal. Free solo play, no wagering.

One thing to notice as you play

Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow. Keep the objective visible.

The goal to keep in mind

Build four suit foundations from ace to king. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Follow this game’s rules rather than another version’s.

The playing sequence

  1. Build down in alternating colours. Any face-up card carries all cards below it, even when unordered. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

How your actions work

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Return to the rules if the result is unexpected.

An example before you play

A red 6 carrying an unordered tail can move onto a black 7. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Look for the relevant detail.

A mistake to avoid

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
